Heidelberg Junior Football Club (HJFC) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all children and young people who participate in its football programs. HJFC wants children and young people from all backgrounds to feel safe, happy and that they belong.

HJFC has zero tolerance to any form of child abuse or harm that may occur in a physical or online environment and any allegations will be treated seriously, in a culturally sensitive manner and in line with the club’s policies and reporting procedure.

As a junior football club we take the safety and wellbeing of all our participants seriously and view child safety as a shared responsibility from all members and volunteers at HFJC.

Our Child Safety and Well-being Policy outlines our scope and responsibilities as a junior football club and what we will do to meet our obligations.

Our Code of Conduct prescribes the actions required to ensure our Child  Safety and Wellbeing Policy is enacted within our club and how we will achieve these actions within our teams and among our volunteers.

Our Child Safety Process and Incident Reporting tab connects our HJFC community members with the link to report an incident or concern regarding wellbeing or safety.  This can be done anonymously, if preferred, and will be managed in line with HJFC process outlined.  All reports are treated with confidentially and care.

This Safety Commitment Statement will be continually reviewed and as a minimum annually.
