Child Safety Officer

 The role of the Child Safety Officer is to:

  • act as the first point of contact for all safeguarding matters;

  • help adults at the Club understand their obligations to protect children and young people and promote their rights; and

  • help members report complaints, concerns and incidents to the Club, Committee, or the YJFL or AFL for appropriate action.

If you have concerns about your safety or the safety of another child or young person, it is important that you say something.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community and in particular the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation which is the land in which we gather and play. We pay respect to our First Nations Peoples and their Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
